Professor and The Pundit: A Michigan Football Podcast
Sports:Football
Week 2 of the 2023 season is in the books and Professor Dooley and Pundit Clarke have a lot of ground to cover in this episode:
➡️Rebel Rundown The gents reflect on and off the Michigan stadium field from Saturday's 35-7 win over UNLV. We start with JJ's remarkable start and much more, including a few sights and sounds from the day. We also discuss the significance of Mike Hart being the first black head coach on the sideline, albeit for a half.
➡️The B1G Roundup - Steve notes that this is the first game on CBS since 1986 (vs. Iowa), so we take a short trip back to that game against the Hawkeyes. We also look around the conference at Ohio State, Wisconsin and the lads ponder the odd perspective held by Illinois fans that Michigan is their rival. We rattle off all the teams that are bigger rivals to Michigan than our buddies from Champaign.
➡️The Situation - We provide our initial reactions to the elephant in the room: the Mel Tucker/MSU mess-up in East Lansing.
➡️National Round-up, and BGSU - We wrap with a quick look at Texas, a peek at Saturday's tilt with Bowling Green, and Dooley couldn't resist a couple of thoughts on the Lion's victory over the Chiefs in the NFL opener.
