Episode 110: The Attacks of Melissa Walbridge and Meghan O'Rourke

On this week's episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz talk about the tragic attacks of two 12-year-old besties out of Essex Junction, Vermont in May of 1981. Melissa Walbridge and Meghan O'Rourke were leaving school a little late and opted to take a shortcut through the woods, only to be met by the malicious 16-year-old Louis Hamlin III and his evil little sidekick, 15-year-old Jamie Savage. The teenage boys ambushed the girls, forcing them to remove their clothes before they choked them, raped them, stabbed them, and shot them with pellet guns. Miraculously, Meghan survived the attack, while Melissa passed from her injuries.
