In this week’s episode of ‘Therapy-ish, we sit down with Tryna Jackson, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate providing services at her own practice in Austin, TX. Tryna specializes in working with adults and adolescents, especially those who are members of the BIPOC & LGBTQ+ populations, utilizing a person-centered therapeutic approach. This episode is all about facing and coping with burnout from your job. Asha and Tryna talk everything from the importance of setting workplace boundaries with your co-workers, ways to implement self-care into your work day, and the benefits many corporations offer (but don't make very public) to their employees. Therapy-ish was created with the mindset of removing the stigma around mental health and to help bridge the gap from the streets to the office. Our goal is to educate listeners on new ways to go about seeking help, becoming more aware of where we are, discuss therapy in traditional and non-traditional ways with expressing new ways to move forward in the world.
