Hey everyone, welcome to another instalment of Harry Potter Theory. Today, we'll be discussing why no one believed Harry Potter when he told the wizarding world that Voldemort had returned.
Although a young 11-year old Harry encounters a form of Voldemort in the very first instalment of the series, it's not until three years later that he chooses to share with the magical community that Voldemort has indeed come back.
The reason for this is quite logical, since the first time that Harry witnesses Voldemort during his time at Hogwarts, the Dark Lord has no human form of his own. He's this creepy shadow version of himself that feasts on unicorn blood and eventually takes up residence upon the back of poor doomed and misguided Professor Quirinus Quirrell's head. So...what really would he have had to tell? That Voldemort sneaks about on the back of people's heads? I mean, I suppose he could have. But really, many people already knew or at least suspected that Voldemort had never died and was not truly gone. So, it really wouldn't have been new information, but rather just confirmation that he was still skulking about...
