Intro to Plume & Creator Spotlight: K. Lynn Smith
Send us a text
Mike and Alex are back for another season of Storied Arcs, and for this outing, they are diving into the world of webcomics as they get ready to discuss Plume by artist/writer K. Lynn Smith, originally published on the internet (RIP Smack Jeeves) and then in print by Devil's Due Comics. The guys get you primed for this supernatural-tinged western saga by teasing how Plume plays with established tropes and architypes of the genre (no spoilers, obviously) and talking about about what drew them to the book. They also take a quick look at Devil's Due Comics, an independent publisher out of Chicago. Then the guys wrap it up with a discussion of K. Lynn Smith and her comic works to date.
We understand that print versions of Plume may be a little hard to come by. If you are fortunate enough to find physical copies, we'll be covering Volumes 1 and 2 (issues #1-9) next week for our discussion. For everyone else, you can read the entire comic for free online or download it as a .pdf at plumecomic.com. See you back here next week!
