Next, in Part 2 of 2 (Part 1 is on the previous episode, s3 e7), Lavetta continues her exploration of drug lord Griselda Blanco (Columbian, 1943–2012). Lavetta details Blanco's move to California, the DEA sting operation against her, and how the Godmother of Cocaine was finally arrested after a decade-long pursuit. The hosts discuss her ongoing legal troubles and personal drama. Blanco met her end a few years after she got out of prison after serving 20 years, when she was assassinated in a motorcycle drive-by shooting in Medellin, Colombia.
