Did the Cleveland Browns defense receive a reality check against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense
The Cleveland Browns had a chance to make a mark on the AFC North win a win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Instead, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens kicked the crap out of the Browns in Cleveland.
Deshaun Watson was unable to play, and Kevin Stefanski didn't do DTR any favors, as the offense mustered up just 3 points.
Watson was injured last week against Tennessee and was a game-time decision, but doctors ruled him out at about 10:30 ET on Sunday. Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who the Browns promoted to QB2 after trading Josh Dobbs earlier this summer, looked like a rookie and struggled against a veteran Ravens defense.
DTR didn't have much help though. Outside of David Njoku, who battled burns on his face and arms for his best performance of the season, none of the Browns playmakers showed up when it mattered most. Jerome Ford and the running game was non-existent, which led to the defense being on the field for what felt like forever.
Myles Garrett and company did its best to hold Lamar Jackson at bay, but Lamar continued his excellent play in the city of Cleveland, scoring 4 TDs on the game.
The Browns now have plenty of questions of to answer as they enter the bye week at maybe the perfect time, before taking on San Francisco in Week 6.
The Browns sit at 2-2 on the season, tied for 2nd in the AFC North.
