With the Christmas season in full swing, I've been thinking about how this time of year can be loaded with complex emotions for those of us who have experienced a loss. I talk about how the expectations of how Christmas 'should' be often leaves us feeling dissatisfied, frustrated or sad, and how these feelings are worthy of acknowledgement. I share my own story of grief to explore how we can negotiate these difficult, uncomfortable and unwelcome emotions in order to help understand them.
