Putting and Keeping with Kevin Hurley, Vice-President of Conservation, WSF
We welcome Wild Sheep Foundation Vice-President of Conservation, Kevin Hurley onto the podcast. Kevin has five decades of conservation under his belt and it is an accomplished hunter. In fact, as we recorded he was prepping for his next adventure into Northern Canada for a giant moose.
Kevin is no stranger to Talk is Sheep having been on before, however, we dive into some new subjects. We discussed the historic range of wild sheep and the status of sheep as they stand today. We talk about the evolution of wild sheep management and test and remove - a process where infected sheep are culled from the ecosystem.
We jump into the great work that the Wild Sheep Foundation is doing for wild sheep across North America and the outcome of their 2023/2024 Grant in Aid allocation.
Kevin is incredibly knowledgeable about wild sheep and this episode does not disappoint.
