He currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Faculty Success, Program Director of Athletic Training, and is a Full Professor at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. In addition to teaching, research, service, and mentorship, he is both a student and cultivator of leadership. Toby’s purpose is to help others discover and pursue theirs. He has published more than 20 books, nearly 20 peer-reviewed articles, and 200+ magazine articles in a diverse career as an athletic trainer, professor, and automotive journalist. His weekly podcast, Becoming UnDone, examines how high achievers can transform from falling apart to falling into place and is rated in the Top 25% of all shows globally after just 8 months of production. He is a husband, a father of two, and enjoys reading, writing, lifting weights, running, playing basketball, playing the drums, and relentlessly pursuing better every day.
