Defense Dominates: Dolphins Pass Rush Combines for 14 QB Hits in Smothering Performance
Zach Sieler led the Miami Dolphins with two sacks as the New York Giants failed to score an offensive touchdown on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium. The Giants were dealing with injuries on the offensive line, and Miami took advantage with seven sacks and 14 quarterback hits. Jerome Baker and Emmanuel Ogbah each had 1.5 sacks, while Andrew Van Ginkel got to the quarterback for his team-leading fourth sack.
In the secondary, Jevon Holland, Xavien Howard, and Eli Apple had pass breakups against New York's passing attack. Miami's offense provided the Giants with opportunities, but the defense took most of them away. Are we starting to see the true potential of Vic Fangio's defense?
