This morning we correct a deep misunderstanding of Judaism by non-Jews and by many Jews, which stems from confusing what is the first commandment God gives Adam and Eve This is based on an essay by Rabbi Nathan Lopes Cardozo. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation.
