The administration is pledging aid to Israel in the wake of the deadly Hamas invasion. A naval carrier group is being sent to the region as a deterrent against other nations in the region joining the conflict.
- For the fourth consecutive day, the Israeli military has conducted intense bombardments across the Gaza Strip, targeting numerous structures. These include residential, commercial, and service buildings, as well as mosques and homes with inhabitants inside. The death toll in Gaza continues to rise due to sporadic Israeli airstrikes, with casualties increasing by the hour.

- Kings Canyon National Park is moving forward with a plan to replant giant sequoia seedlings in groves that were devastated in the massive wildfires of 2020 and 2021. Park scientists estimate that 7,500 to 10,400 monarchs burned in those blazes. The National Park Service says some groves burned so intensely that regeneration is not possible without human intervention. Seedlings grown in greenhouses are being planted in two groves in the coming months before winter
