007. Luke Amico - The Journey Of a Young Jiujitsu Competitor, The Importance Of Team And How To Deal With Loss.
This week's episode we are joined by my firend and former competitor Luke Amico!
Luke is a blue belt in the sport of jiujitsu with the ambitions to one day be a world champion in the sport. He is someone that I really admire, as I see him, a young man who is chasing his dreams and facing his fears attending world class competitions in his journey to the as good as he possibly can be!
Luke and I had a fun, white belt level match last year in June. Since then I have followed him on his journey and been astounded at the level of competition he is willing to throw himself into.
I could talk about jiujitsu and martial arts for HOURS, so join us as we do just that. We chatted lots about his competition journey as a young man, about some of the crazy stories that he has lived preparing and then competing in competitions. We talked about the journey of teaching, one of my favorite topics and I think one of the most important topics in sports... dealing with loss.
Enjoy the episode!
