In The News:
Listener email: Neal from Missouri writes in: Killers of the Flower Moon is coming up and it is one of my most anticipated movies. Its long runtime at 3 and a half hours doesn't bother me, but I know it has to be a factor for a lot of people. Some people would rather wait to watch at home so they can pause it to go to the bathroom. Marty argues that you watch TV for five hours, but I don't think he takes into account you can pause it.
So my question is, why don't we get intermissions on movies this length anymore? Is it because theaters want more showtimes? Is it a creative decision? I don't think a 10 minute intermission would make that big of a difference in showtimes and might draw more people to see it knowing that's there. What are your thoughts? Do you want an intermission? Do you think it would make a difference for the majority of people?
