The guys are back with a Thursday edition of The DFO Rundown and to start today’s show, they talked a little bit about the games we saw last night. The Detroit Red Wings are 3-1-0 to start the season and their offense has looked dominant. Are they capable of keeping this level up and making the playoffs?
Earlier in the week, Leon Draisaitl continued his dominance of the Nashville Predators. They guys talked about other players who have traditionally dominated certain clubs and some of the matchups were pretty surprising.
Draisaitl also set the Edmonton Oilers all-time record for powerplay goals and that led Gregor to do some research about who leads other franchises in powerplay markers. He quizzed Frank on a few interesting names.
The guys also debated whether or not Corey Perry is a Hall of Famer, if Ovi will hit 50 goals this season, Timo Meier’s tough start in New Jersey and if the Senators are capable of being a playoff team with a healthy Josh Norris.
