Elijah Moore is ready to breakout for the Cleveland Browns offense vs. the Colts | Aditi Kinkhabwala
Deshaun Watson is still battling a right shoulder/rotator cuff injury as the Cleveland Browns prepare for a Week 7 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.
DW4 spoke to the media on Wednesday for the first time since missing the Baltimore game, and tried to clear the air on a few things to assure the fanbase the team's brain trust are all on the same page about his situation.
For starters, Watson confirmed the injury is to his rotator cuff is a strain and he's still day-to-day. He did not practice on Wednesday. Watson said it's not a pain tolerance issue, but an issue with his ability to throw the ball with the velocity & accuracy needed to succeed on the NFL level.
Watson also said he's not sure if he'll get back to 100% this season, but is making progress and doing everything the doctors ask of him in rehab.
He also said if he's not 100%, he won't put his team at risk by playing at a level below his standard.
Kevin Stefanski said if DW4 can't go against Indy, PJ Walker would get the start in his place.
Does Watson get criticized more than other QBs who have yet to live up to their massive contract extensions? Or do we just think that because we're in Cleveland.
Kareem Hunt, Greg Newsome, Anthony Walker & Harrison Bryant all sat out Wednesday's practice with injuries. If any of those four can't go against the Colts, who would be the biggest loss?
Would you rather your team have an all-time great offense or an all-time great defense? The panel debates.
