CLEVELAND BROWNS VS. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS INSTANT REACTION: Deshaun Watson benched, DEF looks human
The Cleveland Browns were riding high after beating the SF 49ers last week
Deshaun Watson was cleared and excited to make his return to the field against the Indianapolis Colts.
Then chaos ensued.
Watson threw an ugly pick on the second drive of the game and almost threw another on the next, as he was knocked to the ground and taken to the medical tent for further evaluation.
Despite being cleared of a concussion & reportedly not re-injuring his right shoulder, Watson remained on the sidelines after that while PJ Walker lead the offense.
Myles Garrett played maybe the best game of his career, with two forced fumbles on sacks, one of which led to a TD recovery.
Gardner Minshew carved up the vaunted Browns defense, as did Jonathan Taylor and the rest of the Colts offensive weapons.
Just 7 days after shutting down SF, the Browns defense looked very vulnerable against the stringy Colts.
With 13 minutes to play in the fourth quarter, a short Matt Gay FG gave Indy the 31-30 lead.
Now it's on PJ Walker, Jerome Ford, Amari Cooper and the rest of this Browns offense to find a way to lead another scoring drive & escape Indy with a W.
