82 | How To Confidently Wear ANY Color You Want
There’s an overlooked October holiday you’ve probably never heard of. It’s very near and dear to my heart. Yesterday, October 22nd, was US National Color Day! Yes, that’s a real holiday! It was started in the early 1900s as a day to celebrate our relationship with color and the impact it has on our lives.
Color has a direct link to our emotions. It can energize and motivate us. It can inspire creativity and influence our decisions. Wearing your best colors instills confidence and joy when getting dressed. I hear this from my clients all the time.
But I’ve been noticing a big trend: We’re afraid to wear color. We lack the confidence to create outfits in new color combinations. We pair the same things together the same way every time. We default to basic black and we let our closets (and homes) become a blank canvas of white, beige, and gray.
I’m all for a good neutral, but I want to empower you to have less fear around color! So in today’s episode, I’m sharing 7 ways to confidently wear ANY color you want. Yes, you can break away from your Personal Color Palette, your comfort zone of camel and cream, and your go-to choice of blue or green (be honest: you know there’s one dominant color in your wardrobe!), and wear any color you want with complete confidence.
