What do the Cleveland Browns need to do about their QB room if Deshaun Watson isn't healthy?
IT'S VICTORY MONDAY PEOPLE!
The Cleveland Browns survived a trip to Indianapolis, beating the Colts 39-38 in the best game of the NFL's Week 7 slate.
Myles Garrett & Dustin Hopkins put this team on their backs and willed them to another come-from-behind 4th quarter victory.
Deshaun Watson made his first start for the team since Week 3, but did not look good in his early action. Watson was picked off on an underthrown ball to Marquise Goodwin before getting knocked out of the game on what should have been a second INT later in the first quarter.
Watson was checked for a concussion and cleared concussion protocol, according to the broadcast, but never re-entered the game. PJ Walker took over QB duties and led the Browns to the win.
After the game, Kevin Stefanski said it was his choice to keep Watson on the sidelines, despite DW4's pleas to re-enter. In the same press conference interview, Stefanski said Watson will be the team's starter vs. the Seattle Seahawks next week but when Watson was asked if he'd play vs. Seattle, he said, "we'll see."
More mixed messaging and potential drama between the Browns QB & head coach.
Myles Garrett was the best player on the field for either team, doing his best to single-handily keep Cleveland in the game early on.
Plus, what happened to the Browns defense, outside of Garrett? A week after shutting down the 49ers, Gardner Minshew & Jonathan Taylor sliced and diced this unit up in ways we just haven't seen this season. Is it just an anomoly or a sign of bigger things to be concerned of?
Regardless... it's VICTORY MONDAY and every win is a big win. The Browns are 4-2... LFGGG.
