82. Diagnosing ADHD & supporting kids, teens and adults through hormone changes with therapist Amanda Meyers

B+T interview therapist Amanda Meyers on hormone changes and diagnosing ADHD, including why kids and adults are often diagnosed when they're going through hormone changes including menopause and pregnancy/childbirth. She shares her clinical experiences as well as her own personal experience. Amanda (she/her) is a licensed mental health counselor and certified nutritionist in WA state specializing in eating disorders and trauma. Amanda earned her master’s degrees in clinical health psychology and nutrition and is certified as an intuitive eating provider. After spending several years working with kids and teens in the school setting, Amanda went into private practice in 2020. One of her big passions in life is to educate her clients and community on the impacts of diet culture and healthism. She loves to nerd out on brain science and uses that to help clients understand how their lived experience impacts the way they show up in the world, including how they parent.
