RECAP: Miami Hurricanes Survive In OT 29-26 Against Virginia, Tyler Van Dyke Concerning?
The Miami Hurricanes escape a near upset at home, beating Virginia 29-26 in overtime. True freshman running back Mark Fletcher was the hero in OT, scoring the walkoff 11 yard touchdown with help from a big block by guard Javion Cohen. Kicker Andy Borregales made three clutch kicks of 47, 48 and 50 yards in the game. Rueben Bain and Branson Deen were massive on the defensive line, combining for four sacks. Canes safety Kam Kinchens had an interception for a touchdown.
Host Alex Donno is joined by Chalupa Batman and Hoodie Girl for another AVENGERS ASSEMBLE episode. They recap a tough performance by starting quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. Miami won despite his two interceptions. He wasn’t seeing the field well. Should Miami think about switching to Emory Williams for the remainder of the season? The panel debates. The Miami community lost a friend this weekend. Alex, Chalupa and Melissa remember Brigadier General Otto K. Liller, who passed away this weekend at 51 years old. Liller is a Miami grad and was a major supporter of Locked On Canes and other Miami shows. His kindness, humility, passion, and service to our country will never be forgotten.
