What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger! Acapulco Is Reborn!
Everything I have I count as loss
Everything I have is stripped away
Before I started building
I counted up these costs
There’s nothing left for you to take away
Hello hurricane
You’re not enough
You can’t silence me
I’ve got doors and windows boarded up
All your dead-end fury is not enough
You can’t silence my love
Yeah. As our intro song by Switchfoot says, “You can’t silence love”, something that’s been palpably obvious this weekend in Acapulco! Thank you for the financial support from our Vigilantes who’ve donated about $300,000 by now, it’s been AMAZING. And, a huge shoutout to everyone, specifically Danny Sessoms and the team who are working to help on ground zero. Private companies have power and communication coming back online and although it’s slow going, love is strong, spirits are high, and the community is pulling through.
I’ve always said that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and for the first time, I’m feeling very optimistic about our chances to beat the Cabal at its own game.
But, before I get into WHY I’ve had a change of heart … It seems that the information I’ve received about the Mexican government not letting any resources through and the Red Cross not helping the people on the ground was actually fake news and I apologize for falling for media disinformation propaganda.
So, what I’ve started to realize is that Acapulco really hasn’t been destroyed at all.
But, I have a direct message to Rothschilds and Co: Your latest chem bomb attack in Mexico to make Acapulco a 15-minute smart city has backfired. Just like all your other efforts failed. The only thing it did was make our community stronger and more resilient.
