Colts Stay Quiet At The Deadline, Should Chris Ballard Be On The Hot Seat?, Casey Vallier and Luke Easterling Join
(00:00-26:27) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Brian Noe, Jimmy Cook, and Eddie Garrison debating if the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts are on similar trajectories when you compare their quarterback situations. They transition to questioning if Justin Fields is done in Chicago after the season.
(26:27-38:21) – After a segment without Will Levis, Brian finally caves to talk about the QB he liked most coming out of the draft after his week one performance. He states that Colts fans should be worried about Levis becoming the best quarterback out of the 2023 draft class after he fell out of the first round. Jimmy reacts to Brian’s beliefs.
(38:21-44:32) – Brian and Jimmy close out the first hour of the show by discussing the latest potential findings in the Michigan sign stealing scandal. Plus, they try to predict what kind of penalty the NCAA will issue Michigan.
(44:32-1:08:10) – Casey Vallier from the Colts Radio Network joins Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook on Query & Company to share some of the storylines that he will be monitoring for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers, tries to figure out where things stand right now with the Colts after losing three straight games, accesses how the defensive line can improve before Grover Stewart’s return from suspension, and predicts what kind of split we could see on Sunday between Zack Moss and Jonathan Taylor.
(1:08:10-1:28:14) – At the tail end of last segment, Eddie opened a can of worms pertaining to Chris Ballard being the reason for the shortcomings of the defense. Jimmy and Brian react to that with their opinions from a bigger picture. They all agreed on one thing though pertaining to where Ballard has struggled.
(1:28:14-1:33:11) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian and Jimmy discussing the Philadelphia 76ers trading James Harden to the Clippers with video of Harden first arriving in LA surfaced last night.
(1:33:11-1:56:13) – Luke Easterling from Athlon Sports joins Query & Company to compare the situations that the Colts and Bears are in based off of Brian’s beliefs, if there was anything that stood out to him from the lack of moves at the trade deadline, if he understands Eddie’s viewpoint that the Cincinnati Bengals will be viewed as the best team in the AFC with the playoffs start, and then shares some power rankings for Halloween candy.
(1:56:13-2:12:08) – Following their conversation with Luke, they take a couple points that he hit on from the trade deadline and expound on it. Additionally, they rehash a segment from back in April they did pertaining to which teams can win a Super Bowl within the next three seasons. They also question if the Josh McDaniels fallout with Indianapolis looks worse on him or Chris Ballard.
(2:12:08-2:16:19) – Today’s show ends with Jimmy sharing the JCook Plays of the Day, Eddie sharing a couple bets that he likes, and Brian asking for their opinion on the total in the Colts game this weekend.
