This morning we discuss Avraham praying, and establishing for us Shacharit, the daily morning prayer service, specifically within the context of what we might view as a failed prayer. But Avraham praying to save the people of Sodom, though God's answer is no, remains the model for successful prayer, and today we explain how that works. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation.
