Gobble, gobble!
The Blind Rage Podcast kicks off the month of November with one of the most iconic thrillers of the ‘90s: SINGLE WHITE FEMALE.
Without movies like this, Lifetime would essentially have no content, as the premise has been duplicated and replicated many, many times. Few female villains have been able to match the rage and intensity of Hedra Carlson (Jennifer Jason Leigh), or the doe-eyed naiveté of Alison Jones (Bridget Fonda). Even after three decades, the many themes included in SINGLE WHITE FEMALE remain relevant, so much so that contemporary audiences should have no trouble identifying with one or more of its central characters.
After the film hit theaters, I’m sure many thought twice before seeking roommates to help share the cost of rent and half utilities.
