In his new book, Race, Rhetoric, and Technology: Searching for Higher Ground, Adam J. Banks, an associate professor in the Division of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digitial Media (WRD), explores issues of race in ways which intersect both academic and community engagement and blur the lines between boundaries of classroom and civic spaces. Banks discusses his recent publication and the broad spectrum of interests--ranging from black theology to music like Parliament Funkadelic--which influence his work.
