The United Nations declared November 22, 2022, as the official “Day of 8 Billion,” people on Earth. Fertility rates, or the rate of births per woman of childbearing age, are meanwhile declining, falling below replacement level in much of the world and contributing to a more than 50-year trend, on average, of slimmer increases in population growth. Meanwhile, SpaceBorn will soon be rocketing a mini lab into low Earth orbit defined by NASA as 1,200 miles or less above our planet where in-vitro fertilization will occur. In this way, babies can be born off the planet to curb population growth on Earth. Another way to deal with an excess of humans will be the introduction of "Virtual Children." They will cost next to nothing to bring up, as they will require minimal resources within the metaverse. Will concerns about overpopulation prompt society to embrace digital children? Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks about BABY X. #GroundZero #ClydeLewis #VirtualChildren #BabyX
