Olympian Andrew Wheating On How He's Giving Back To The Sport + The Importance Of Discussing Mental Health
Back on the podcast, is fan favorite and interant sensation Andrew Wheating. The man who reached over 4 million people from a clip of our last episode together.
Andy is currently the Operations and Content Manager at the On Athletics Club. But long before Andy was working for On to push forward the sport, he was running world-class times and making history on the track. From 2008 to 2012, he won three NCAA titles, made two Olympic teams and a World Championship team, and ran personal bests of 1:44.56 for 800, 3:30.90 for 1500, and 3:51.74 for the mile.
Today's conversation is real, open, raw, and one of my all-time favorites because of that. The most impactful thing about it for me was Andy opening up about mental health and the importance of dicussing it for athletes.
We also get into the day-to-day of Andy's job progressing the OAC/On as a company, an egg nog mile he did back in the day, when one can start listening to Christmas music, and more.
This is another all-timer that you won't want to miss.
