On Performance People this week, James Allison, a British motorsport designer and engineer, best known for his successes in Formula 1, where he is the technical director of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. He's played a key role in the teams he's been associated with and amassed 11 constructors championships along the way. In 2021 he also became the Chief Technical Officer at Ineos Britannia’s, Ben Ainslie's America's Cup team. He talks about how to bring a fragmented team together, why momentum can be galvanising, how getting sacked gave him perspective and why there are reasons for Mercedes F1 to be optimistic about 2024.
