This morning we investigate the cause of the tragic sibling rivalry between Yosef and his brothers. We quote Rabbi Yonasan Eibschitz on the need to be able to speak our hurt, in order to achieve peace. And though it is quite different, we apply this to Israel and her neighbours. Sadly, this is not possible now - Hamas must be removed. But hopefully, eventually, inevitably, ultimately, we must find someone with whom to speak, to achieve peace. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation.
