200-Mile Ultra Race Strategies, Lessons and Reflections with Cole Crosby
Racing in a 200+ mile race contains so many things to manage: from the long miles, the sleep, blister management, and nutrition (to name only a few variables), there is a lot to get right when it comes to running a great 200 mile race.
And over his running career, Cole Crosby has learned a ton on how to efficiently run a 200+ mile race or event in a way that gets you to the finish line strong. He’s learned this through his finish at Cocodona 250, The Speed Project OG Solo Route, and getting the FKT on the Bay Circuit Trail.
In this episode, Cole shares all of the lessons from each of those races, and key strategies that have helped him accomplish success in a very long distance ultra.
Cole Crosby is a member of the Aravaipa New England Racing Team, is the current record holder for FKT on the Bay Circuit Trail, and has amassed multiple wins and podium finishes at many ultras.
Huge thank you to Cole for coming on the show!
