We are now approaching the very end of the year. It is very normal for everyone to become thoughtful and meditative. There is the going over things done, places traveled, people we met and some we lost. Missed opportunities and so much more.
The closing of the year also brings about a somberness. We wonder what the next year will bring if the Lord should tarry a while longer.
There is something about the end of a year, or the end of something. There are many endings in this life of things innumerable. There are devastating endings, and some endings that bring about newness.
We are looking at "the end of all things at hand." All that we see and know has an end. As believers we never fear any kind of an eternal end. Christ's mortal body brought about "the endless life" unto us.
Even if we should die a natural death we will enter instantly into eternal glory in Heaven. So it is never an end but an end that becomes the beginning of the endless life. Remember, Jesus said "It is finished," not the end.
"Do everything with an eternal touch." ~ Joanie Stahl - Words spoken to me by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
