Melisa Nielsen at Waldorf Essentials focuses on the child at 9 today.
Melisa has been guiding us through a series of the changes that happen every three years.
This is a great tool for Waldorf homeschooling but especially parenting.
At 9 years old
- You may see them distance themselves more or move back into the family bed for a bit.
- It's extremely important for you to be in a good space with yourself and your partner because the 9 year old is watching it all and will know if you aren't in a good space.
- This can be a hard time for the 9 year old and a very challenging time in your parenting.
- When you are prepared with tools and understand what they are feeling the 9 year change doesn't need to be scary!

Every child should have access to a whole education.
While we work hard to keep our virtual school tuition and curriculum prices affordable, there will always be families that desire this education but can not afford it. It is our deepest desire to help those families.
