With all of the various ways to train for an ultramarathon (heart rate, pace, training by feel), it can be confusing to decide which method is optimal for ultrarunning.
The truth is: there is merit to all of these training benchmarks. But, there is one that is far and above recommended over the others, and will likely lead to the best training when it comes to an ultramarathon.
