10@9 Our Forefather Yaakov Sings to Hersh - December 25, 2023

This morning we share an insight of Dr. Dovid Fox on the famous blessing we often sing to our children and grandchildren, HaMalach HaGoel... and describe how this year it takes on a newly urgent and precise layer of meaning. We share the recent words of Rachel Goldberg, the mother of Hersh, a severely wounded hostage held by Hamas in Gaza, and join her in praying, with this blessing, for the release of her son and all the hostages. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation.
