Best Of: The Disease That's Killing 20 Aussie Women, Everyday
The Quicky will be back with new episodes from January 15, but until then here’s one of our favourite episodes of this year. Thank you so much for being a part of The Quicky in 2023.
Almost every hour of everyday an Australian woman dies of heart disease. On average, that equates to 20 women a day.
Every February, Heart Research Australia dedicates a month to heart research - they call it RedFeb. On top of asking for people to wear red and donate, they're raising awareness for the under diagnosis and lack of treatment for women with heart disease.
In this episode of The Quicky, we look at the risk factors that specifically affect women, and what you can do to look after your heart health.
