En: Today, she was determined to make her favorite zucchini pasta.
En: Siti cheerfully strolled towards the market with a swinging shopping bag on her arm.
En: The morning sun illuminated the peaks of the market stalls that were full of vendors and buyers.
En: She gazed attentively at the various vegetables, trying to find the perfect zucchini for her new recipe.
En: Budi, Siti's childhood friend, was a well-known friendly fruit vendor who always had funny stories to tell.
En: He spotted Siti from a distance and waved while smiling.
Id: "Hey Siti, mencari apa hari ini?
En: "Hey Siti, what are you looking for today?"
En: greeted Budi warmly as Siti approached.
Id: "Halo, Budi!
En: "Hello, Budi!
Id: Aku ingin membeli zucchini untuk membuat pasta nanti malam,” jawab Siti semangat.
En: I want to buy zucchini to make pasta for tonight," replied Siti enthusiastically.
Id: Budi menggaruk kepalanya bingung.
En: Budi scratched his head in confusion.
Id: "Zucchini?
En: Unfortunately, the zucchini have all been bought today.
En: But I have some good cucumbers, maybe they can be a substitute?"
En: Siti looked at the cucumbers Budi pointed to with a hint of disappointment.
Id: "Hm, apa ya?
En: "Hm, what do you think?
Id: Baiklah, aku ambil saja.
En: Alright, I'll take them.
Id: Siapa tahu rasanya mirip," ujarnya sambil terkekeh lembut.
En: Who knows, maybe they'll taste similar," she said with a soft chuckle.
En: Although Siti knew that the cucumbers were not zucchini, she stubbornly decided to make pasta with them.
En: At home, Siti tried to slice the cucumbers the same way she had seen in the zucchini recipe.
En: The aroma emanating from the frying pan convinced her that her crazy idea would work.
En: Budi, who happened to pass by Siti's house, caught a whiff of the cooking and decided to drop by.
Id: "Hmm, bau apa ini?
En: "Hmm, what's that smell?
Id: Wangi sekali!
En: It's so fragrant!"
Id: " Budi bertanya penasaran sambil melihat Siti sibuk di dapur.
En: Budi asked curiously as he watched Siti busy in the kitchen.
Id: Siti menjawab tanpa mengalihkan pandangan dari penggorengannya, "Pasta zucchini spesial buatanku.
En: Without shifting her gaze from the frying pan, Siti answered, "It's my special homemade zucchini pasta.
Id: Mau coba?
En: Want to try?"
Id: "Budi mengambil sesendok pasta dan mencicipinya.
En: Budi took a spoonful of the pasta and tasted it.
En: Surprised by the strange taste, he politely asked, "Siti, this definitely isn't zucchini, is it?"
Id: "Siti dengan segera berpura-pura kaget.
En: Promptly, Siti pretended to be shocked.
Id: “Oh, tidak mungkin!
En: "Oh, it can't be!
Id: Ini pasti zucchini… mungkin hanya sedikit berbeda rasanya karena aku menambahkan bumbu spesial,” jawabnya sambil tersenyum simpul, berusaha meyakinkan Budi.
En: This must be zucchini...maybe just a little different in taste because I added special seasonings," she replied with a forced smile, trying to convince Budi.
En: Budi, who knew Siti well enough, took a deep breath and then laughed.
Id: "Siti, Siti, kamu tidak bisa menipuku.
En: "Siti, Siti, you can't fool me.
Id: Ini pasti mentimun!
En: This is definitely cucumber!
Id: Tapi, tidak apa-apa, rasanya tetap enak kok.
En: But it's okay, it still tastes good."
Id: "Siti akhirnya menyerah dan tertawa bersama Budi.
En: Finally, Siti gave in and laughed along with Budi.
Id: "Ya, ya, kau benar.
En: "Yes, yes, you're right.
En: I did try using cucumber because I couldn't find zucchini.
Id: Kukira akan sama saja!
En: I thought it would be the same!"
En: The two of them laughed in the kitchen, enjoying the cucumber pasta that Siti had made.
En: Even though it wasn't actual zucchini, their memory of the dish and Siti's mistake that day always brought a smile whenever they remembered it.
En: And from that day on, Siti no longer bought vegetables without confirming their names.
En: Budi also always kept extra zucchinis in his store, just to ensure that his good friend wouldn't make the same mistake in choosing vegetables again.
