True identity is not what I do (for example, I am a writer). Nor is it how I am (for example, I am happy). True identity is who I am. In other words, identity in Christ means union with Christ.-holy sexuality. Jan Quote from Christopher Yuan “ Here’s a great passage from a book I’m reading by Christopher Yuan called “Holy Sexuality”. In this pAssage he’s speaking about his personal experience dealing with same-sex attractions but I think it is so true for all of us as we deal with temptations, hangups, and sin of all kinds: “This much I know is true: I have been changed—I’m a new creature in Christ—and that change is vital and real. I have a new heart, and my mind is renewed. Before conversion, I was indifferent toward Christ, which is equivalent to hatred. Now I love Christ, I want to please the Father, and I desire his holiness. This is real change even with the reality of my sin nature and in the midst of ongoing temptations. God has redeemed us, and he has transformed us—and as such, we have new loyalties. These new loyalties and priorities grow deeper and stronger as we mature in Christ. Christ fights our battles now—even battles with indwelling sin. As I said before, because of our union with Christ, we can hate our sin without hating ourselves. God has changed me.”E

2 Samuel 5:10-12 NKJV "So David went on and became great, and the Lord God of hosts was with him. Then Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters and masons. And they built David a house. So David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that He had exalted His kingdom for the sake of His people Israel."
