This is the reading for January 6th, Job chapters 10 through 13 and We have more of the conversation between job, and his friends were job is saying, I don't know what I did wrong. 0:21 God is righteous, and he just needs to tell me what I need to repent of, so that I can repent. And then he even starts to question God. 0:39 Like, I wish I hadn't Been born, it would have been better had, I never been born, had I died early had, I died in the womb, he even says I wish, I had never existed but had been carried from the womb to the grave. 1:00 And then in verse 20 10:22 God, he's saying these things now, To God the creator of the universe. He is saying these things, he goes are my days, not few, stop it. 1:17 Leave me alone so that I can smile a little Before I die. And that's just one translation. I mean it can be but we don't know exactly in the English what the equivalent would be to jokes words but it's essentially leave me alone. 1:39 Stop it, stop. Afflicting me with this pain and you know, early on were told twice that the sons of God who we know are God's children that the people of God, who, Are presenting themselves before God. 1:59 So is this a church service? I don't know. Like where is it that the sons of God present themselves. Like I guess it's in a corporate Gathering of some sort of worship service at the synagogue. I mean this is before Judaism even existed. The people of God are coming together and God points job out to Satan. 2:19 And says, have you considered considered my servant job? He's righteous, he's not a sinner, he's more righteous than any other man. And so, this is the most righteous man on the face of the planet potentially calling out. God and saying, leave me alone. 2:38 And we have this idea in American society, that God won't give us more than we can handle. You ever heard that one? You ever said that and I'm thinking like, I'm reading this and poor job, man. 2:54 He's had more than he can handle. He's broken. He is broken. He's had more than he can handle. His wife has had more than she can handle and perhaps, God gives us more than we can handle. so that will rely on him. 3:19 So that will Embrace him and ask him for help and help us change, help us get better stronger, rise above all of those different things.
