An arrest has occurred in connection with the homicide of a model from Atlanta. This incident, which remained unsolved for over two years, involved the model being discovered deceased with multiple gunshot wounds.
During a press briefing on Thursday, Atlanta Police Major Michael O'Connor detailed the events surrounding the homicide and the subsequent arrest:
On May 30, 2016, the model left her residence, intending to make a brief visit to a local store before meeting friends later that evening. Unfortunately, she never returned home.
That same evening, she was spotted at a gas station in DeKalb County, near Rockbridge Road and Memorial Drive. Atlanta police confirmed that surveillance footage showed her car in the station's parking area. Footage from the station also shows a woman entering the store to purchase a Sprite.
A witness later reported to the police that they saw the model in her car at the gas station, accompanied by two men, with one of them driving. The witness described the model as appearing "extremely nervous."
Following this, the car is observed moving around the vicinity. It is later seen, just after midnight, heading towards Oakland Park in southwest Atlanta.
