National Gluten Free Day was founded by Cassy Joy Garcia in 2014 to raise awareness for the cause of eating gluten free.
It is observed on the second Monday of January each year. The day aims to help people understand the challenges faced by those who have celiac disease or are gluten-intolerant and to show compassion and care for them.
