"I Am a Stalker" - Netflix true crime which left US viewers 'too scared to sleep'

However, there's an upcoming series on the platform that is expected to thoroughly appeal to enthusiasts of the true crime genre.

This series, originally released in the US in 2022, is scheduled to become available on UK Netflix this Sunday, 7 January.

The true crime series is said to have left US audiences feeling unnerved and too frightened to sleep due to its unsettling nature.

Although it was initially available to British viewers on Crime + Investigation in October 2022, it is actually a production by Netflix.

Entitled "I Am a Stalker," the documentary series focuses on actual cases of stalking.

The synopsis reads: “Convicted stalkers tell the program, in their own chilling words, how love turned into a deadly obsession in face first, captivating in-depth interviews.”

Throughout the documentary, these convicted stalkers openly discuss their offenses on camera, with some detailing the progression of their affection into a profound obsession.

When it was originally released in the US, Netflix warned viewers to expect ‘harrowing accounts of harassment, abuse and other crimes’ not just from stalkers but also from their survivors.
