10@9 Oppose MAID for Mental Illness - January 9, 2024

This morning we discuss MAID (medical assistance in dying, or euthanasia) for those with mental illness, which is set to come into law in Canada (C-7) this March 17, 2024. We have discussed before that MAID is, according to Jewish Law, murder, and we have opposed every iteration and expansion of it. But allowing MAID for mental illness will cause a new type of terrible harm to many. This form of MAID is opposed by the majority of Canadians, and Parliament is currently debating pausing or repealing this. Please urge your elected officials to repeal or at least continue the pause on MAID for those with mental illness.
