Nostalgic for the good old days of Bean Dad, we of Twitter have decided to once again take a meaningless piece of incredibly minor family drama and magnify it beyond the point of absurdity, the daily ritual of collective shaming being the closest thing to community we have in our lives.
Some may say that today’s victim, Mary Catherine Starr, doesn’t deserve her punishment. That these threats and harassment made against “Peach Mom” are unjust. How could it be a sin for a woman to give her husband a piece of fruit?
Um, hello? Ever heard of “Adam and Eve,” sweetie?
Thousands of miles away, a peach tree is photosynthesizing. The sun is warm. The soil is moist. “Twitter”? “Pile-on culture”? “Touching grass”? It is blissfully unaware of these words. There is no anger in its soul.
Only peach.
