J. A. Bayona - Society of the Snow, The Orphanage and The Impossible director on planning and shooting feature films
This weeks guest is J. A. Bayona the director of Society of the Snow, Netflix’s new smash hit movie. He is also the director of The Orphanage, A Monster Calls, The Impossible, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and the TV series Rings of Power.
J.A sits down with fellow director Giles Alderson to discuss Society of the Snow and making disaster films. Creating huge set pieces and THAT plane crash.
He talks planning and shooting in the snow and cold, creating tension, story boarding, animatics and actors creativity.
