It is, dear listener, unfortunate how woven into the fabric of this place pain is. Lose, hardships, overwhelming adversity. These are building blocks not just to Elder County, but Appalachia it’s self. I’ve watched it as this place grew, and my heart would break for the folks here, but the pain is just one part. It’s that pain the brings people together. Folks, show for the most part would have nothing to do with each other, band together in an effort to ease that pain. To lift that burden. While some folks out there will tell you the folks here are isolated, rugged, stalwart individuals, they couldn’t be more wrong. They built communities because of the pain and the want, the need to try and take it form one another.
