153: My Critical Review of "You Are What You Eat"
You Are What You Eat is the newest Netflix nutrition documentary, and if you exist on the internet, chances are you've heard of it.
With a slew of overwhelmingly positive and negative reviews, this doc follows in the footsteps of The Game Changers and What The Health and attempts to fearmonger their viewers into becoming vegan - with "science!"
In this episode, I get into the documentary AND the research to explain:
- why this documentary is really just a vegan propaganda film
- the biggest flaws in the study's research design
- why cholesterol isn't the ONLY heart-health marker to focus on
- why you shouldn't always trust "experts," especially on TV
... and more!
