Ep.152 Health Seminar | Peripheral Neuropathy 101
When our peripheral nerves are deprived of oxygen they become damaged. When our peripheral nerves get damaged this interferes with communication between the brain and our body, which can develop into a neuropathy characterized by achiness, burning and tingling sensation, numbness, weakness, pain, and sensory loss.
Most medications only cover up symptoms, rather than repairing the nerve. This means that the nerve will continue to degenerate over time, getting worse and worse, and requiring more and more medication. You cannot medicate yourself out of a chronic condition. Even though there is no “magic pill” that will fix peripheral neuropathy, there is still hope on the horizon that, yes, something can be done to change it!
Reversing peripheral neuropathy comes down to four important tenents: RESTORING proper blood flow to the nerves and damaged tissue, RETRAINING the new neural pathways, REDUCING ingestion of toxins and causes of inflammation, and BALANCING blood sugar levels and hormones.
Tune in to Dr. Duncan McCollum’s health seminar on peripheral neuropathy to learn more about this chronic condition affecting millions and all the ways you can begin reversing neuropathy today.
