In this week's episode of "The Discover Strength Podcast," we explore just that. We were privileged enough to have the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Michael Joyner, an exercise physiologist, anesthesiologist, and M.D. at one of the world's most premier medical institutions, The Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Joyner has long been an advocate of all types of exercise. An endurance athlete in college, Dr. Joyner found his passion for exercise originally at Arizona State University. He went on to become an anesthesiologist and researcher to continue to pursue his love of all things exercise science. It was his mission to be on the front lines of where the science meets the real-world application.
In his recent work, Dr. Joyner has also come to understand the vast importance of regular resistance training. In this episode we discuss all things exercise and physiology and how he puts his many years of experience to work in his own life, and in helping others.
